White Lightning (1973) with Jennifer Billingsley, Ned "Squeeeeeel" Beatty, and Bo Hopkins
and the sequel
Gator (1976) with Lauren Hutton, Jack Weston, and Jerry "Snowman" Reed
Despite some flaws, White Lightning works. Despite its obvious bigger budget, Gator does not.
Fun fact: Steven Spielberg was the original director for White Lightning, which was to be his first feature film (Duel was made for TV), but he quit a few months into pre-production.
