1) If Castor sees the bird, he slings a shot at it ( 1d8 rolled for a total of: 6 (6) ). Hopefully, at the very least, it'll send the bird flying.
2) Regardless of the result, he knocks loudly on the door then listens for any movement inside.

He gives you a sideways look. "What type of assistance are you looking for?"

"Uh, lair? You mean the Goblins? Yeah, sure. They're over that way. Oh, give me a minute and I'll show you."
He closes the door and you hear some movement and rummaging behind the door. After a couple minutes he reappears at the door wearing a hooded cloak and carrying a long staff. You don't notice any other obvious weapons.
"Follow me, but babies don't sound like Goblins."
He closes the door to his hut and starts meandering in an Easterly direction.

Castor and Mighter follow. "No, it doesn't sound like goblins. But you know the area better than we do." Castor then give a more detailed account of everything he's learned as they meander.

The hermit says little as he guides you through the woods. You find yourselves skipping across animal trails, following them briefly and then off through the woods again. He seems to pass around branches with ease and his heels rarely touch the ground. While it seems like he isn't listening, he also keeps speed with you.
Eventually he stops. As you walk up beside him he says, "There. Just passed these trees is the hill where the Goblins have set up. They are new. The passages below the hill were made long ago and it's origin is unknown to me. They certainly aren't of any quality worth noting as some areas have collapsed. You'll see the occasional depression in the hill. I do not know of any other hostile beings living nearby but I do not think Goblins would bother stealing babies without direction from another source. This is as far as I go."
As you follow the hermit's gaze, you can make out the hill beyond the trees. It seems to be in a clearing just slightly bigger than the hill itself however the trees nearest the hill seem much younger than the rest of the woods. Rocks occasionally protrude from the hill but no stumps or trees. After a few moments, you make out an entrance.
The opening seems like a cave that is easily accessible for tall Humans. It's dark beyond the opening.
