Shift Kitty
Sta/Br: 6d8
Kno/Int: 6d4
For/Fin: 6d8
Def: 5
Health: 9
Size: M
Morale: 1
Special: Cannot be hit at range

A Shift Kitty looks like a large, dark-furred with darker spots lynx, including those adorable ear tufts. We think. The problem is the Shift Kitty is able to appear to be where it isn't so how do we know what it really looks like? At any rate, the only way we know where it is is when it "shifts," (a short range teleport) in close to slice open a belly or maybe a carotid artery, then shifts away. Because of the nature of the attack, the Shift Kitty resolves its attack before any opponents, who are only reacting.

Any ranged attacks against a Shift Kitty will miss, even magical attacks. AoE attacks with an area of of at least a 30' radius have a penalty of +2 to the TN.

Phase Kitty
Sta/Br: 7d10
Kno/Int: 6d4
For/Fin: 6d8
Def: 3
Health: 15
Size: M
Morale: 1
Special: Surprise 7. Can only be attacked when attacking

Phase Kitty doesn't blend into its surroundings. Phase Kitty doesn't need to blend in. Phase Kitty can _be_ part of the surroundings. A Phase Kitty is intangible in its natural state and must consciously become tangible. A favorite tactic of a Phase Kitty is to wait inside a tree, boulder, wall, or what have you, then come out and attack an unsuspecting passerby from behind. Another tactic is to charge and phase through a target to attack a different target behind the first.
